A lack of resources coupled with the high cost of treatment of these specific diseases means that orphanages and concerned families are often unable to provide their children with the critical medical intervention that they need. To fill this gap, Genesis Foundation supports critically ill underprivileged and orphan children in the areas of cancer, heart and thalassemia. So far, Genesis Foundation has supported medical treatment of over 900 critically ill children. The children supported by the Foundation belong to families with an income of less than Rs.10,000 per month and the parents are unable to afford treatment of these children suffering from serious life threatening ailments.
